9 basketball players from South Dakota jumping for first place in women’s NCAA tournament

South Dakota is being represented by nine players in the NCAA women’s basketball tournament.

Texas will have the most players on the hard court during this year's tournament with 47 players, followed by California with 46.

There are no players from Wyoming, West Virginia or New Mexico competing this year.

Rapid City and Sioux Falls are the most popular hometowns for NCAA players from South Dakota in the tournament.
